Anas Fattouh, Associate Professor

Anas Fattouh currently holds the position of associate professor of industrial systems and researcher at Mälardalen University (MDU). He has amassed over 20 years of experience in academia and research. His educational background includes a Diploma of Engineering in Automatic Control and Industrial Electronics (DEEEng), awarded by Aleppo University in 1992. Subsequently, he completed a master's degree (DEA) and a PhD degree in Automatic Control from the Automatic Laboratory of Grenoble, INPG, France in 1997 and 2000, respectively. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in the field of control systems and related topics, with a recent focus on industrial AI systems and smart automation. Currently, he is the MDU leader of the project Trusted Site Optimisation Solutions (TRUST-SOS) with BTH and Volvo CE where we develop an actor-based platform for modelling and simulating open-pit quarry sites.
