Carin Rösiö was born in Huskvarna. She earned a MSc degree in Technical Design in 2005 from Luleå University of Technology and a PhD degree in Innovation and Design from Mälardalen University.
Carin Rösiö is working as a post doc at Mälardalen University. She also work as a lecturer and researcher at School of Engineering, Jönköping University. She is teaching i.a. production system development and inquiry methodology. Carin has also been working at Sandvik Hard Materials and spent one year as Research Trainee at Luleå University of Technology.
Carin Rösiös research interest includes production system design and industrialization with a focus on reconfigurability, sustainability and the ability to handle change. Her research also comprises production system localization and mobile production systems.
The research is carried out in close cooperation with industry and addresses both technological and organizational aspects related to production system design on a strategic as well as operational level within a company.
