The purpose of the project ‘Reducing maintenance-related waste’ is to develop and test a generic methodology that facilitates systematic maintenance-related waste reduction in Swedish automotive manufacturing industry. Multiple case studies will be carried out. The goal of the methodology is to optimize maintenance activities and cost based on the relationships between maintenance effectiveness and efficiency while taking into account indirect and direct maintenance cost.
