Competence on Demand

Status:

active

Start date:

2014-12-18

End date:

2015-04-30

The goal is to study how new technology can increase access to specialists, bridge generations-gap and increase quality assurance in the transfer of knowledge between employees.

Another aspect is the competitive market where the industry operates; competence is a critical key issue and it is sometimes hard to find the right competence nearby and it requires both economic and environmental resources to transport people with the right knowledge.

Positive effects:

Solve the access problem (security reasons), reduce the time for stop in the production line and reduce the environmental impact.

The project is expected to result in new knowledge of how augmented reality can complement existing maintenance systems / business systems and how a competency system can be based on expertise / social media and FAQ.

An introductory workshop will be held, to clarify the challenges, practical implementation and expected results. Thereafter, a state-of-the-art will be carried out (literature studies, interviews of all project partners). The next step is to conduct tests in each environment, and analyze the results. The last phase involves dissemination and discussion.
